Micha Nussinov’s journey with painting first began on a trip to Bali in 1976. On the flight over, he was compelled to trace the outlines of shadows created by his hands, producing drawings that dealt with the elements of earth, water, wind, fire and space, embodying bird-like formations, a recurring symbol throughout his work.

From there, Micha continued his exploration, beginning with watercolour on paper and eventually expanding to oil and acrylic on canvas. Micha’s paintings are separated into four categories, each of which embraces a distinct visual and symbolic approach to the medium: Abstract Expressionism, Landscapes (Plein Air), Landscapes of the Mind and Reflections on Lived Moments.
