Collage

Frequently emerging as a by-product of other mediums, the starting point of Micha Nussinov’s collages is often a box of old photographs or unused pieces left over from other artworks, wholeheartedly embracing the ethos of the collage. Built on top of tissue paintings or cut-out landscapes, these collages are an amalgamation of textures: photographs, paper bark, the torn edge of a notebook. Some of the largest of these works measure more than two metres in length, offering aerial views of complex worlds within worlds.
