While a taxi driver, I gave a ride to a man who sitting in the front seat made a gesture of offering to a girl who sat diagonally across the back seat. The girl, dressed in school uniform, reacted in a quick sharp voice- "Don't touch me".to me it sounded like "Don't do it to me again"- she was a victim of child abuse, I thought. residues of this experience are expressed in this painting.
